Here's some actual single-sided records that I love to put on
Joe Mcphee- Zurich (1979)
Steve Lacy, Joe Mcphee- The Rest
Bells by Albert Ayler

Like... they don't have a second side?
Interesting.

No and there are many records like that, these are just a few favorites that came to mind. Just totally smooth on one side

kinda hard to think of "bad" album sides for me... I was looking through my record collection but I tend to not own albums I wouldn't want to listen to from start to finish... BUT here's what I came up with:
Rush - Moving Pictures - side one is phenomenal
Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath - side one is on par with any of their greatest album sides
Strokes - Room On Fire - side one is very competitive with either side of their debut but side two tails off a bit
Rage Against Machine - Battle Los Angeles - very top heavy, not sure why they chose this track list
Yes - Close To The Edge - second side isn't "bad" but the first side is so damn good
Iron Maiden - Number of the Beast - side one is pretty good but I find myself starting with side two most listens
*This thread made me think of a new forum for "perfect albums as a whole" ... I'll start that sometime this week if someone doesn't beat me to it (I'd like to give this post more time for discussion)!! _________________ Jeff Lynne 5th Beatle

Gotcha.
Also that'd be a site to see - slick vinyl on one side and grooved vinyl on the other. I have yet to see such a thing. Seems like a record company wouldn't let that be.
But lo and behold: https://www.discogs.com/sell/list?forma...rmat=Vinyl

Strangest part of that link is that Discogs has a "Single Sided Vinyl" sort option.
Johnny Winter's Second Winter is a pretty famous three-sided album.

I like the first half, but the second half of Magical Mystery Tour is completely superior. _________________ Nothing really matters, anyone can see, nothing really matters, nothing really matters to me.

2112 by Rush. 2112's title track is fucking immense. It's brilliant and groundbreaking and full of life. Aside from a few good moments on side 2, the rest of the album falls flat. Damn near takes a nose dive.
2112 is abso-fucking-lutely not anywhere close to being the best Rush album. _________________ Attention all planets of the solar federation: We have assumed control.

Tear.
I find the first half just as brilliant.
