Started listening to Homogenic by Björk but I skipped tracks 5-9 because they sound less better than the rest.
I'm midway through Thick as a Brick, I haven't got used to the song so it'll 2 or 3 times to memorize it in my head.
I have listened to all of The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady by Charles Mingus once but I barely remember the tracks, same goes with Close to the Edge by Yes, SMiLE by The Beach Boys and Lift Your Skinny Fist Like Antennas to Heaven by Godspeed You! Black Emperor.

I am with you man. I can't get on with that Yes album, with Homogenic , with the Mingus album or with Smile. And I didn't used to like Jethro Tull although they are growing on me slightly. That discordant flute annoys me though! And I own Smile and Close To The Edge on CD!! Impulse buys.
I don't always enjoy highly rated albums on here. As for Joanna Newsom, I think she sounds like a cat being put through a mangler (ancient device used for drying laundry by wringing water out of them). I would rather boil my own head than listen to her.
Get to find your own music you like. Check out people's charts for ideas that's what I did.
