Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 1% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 85.0/100, a mean average of 83.7/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 85.1/100. The standard deviation for this album is 15.8.

How about 1997 edition with 6 Bonus Tracks? Are those listed and rated somewhere?
Kinda like David Bowie’s Low…Side One instant and vibrant, Side two…Weird and brilliant!!! Great Album
Stranger things
First half is really good second half is also really good but also really strange

It is easy to love side one, which is a line up of beautiful, catchy songs. Whether or not you love the album as a whole depends on what you think of the song cycle on side two. For me, it is mesmerising. WHAT SAY YOU GOOD PEOPLE?
I think I prefer "The Dreaming" over this. Her previous record felt more cohesive and visionary. This one is okay, but it falls short on so many ends. Besides "Running Up That Hill", my second favorite is definitely "The Big Sky".
Kate Bush demonstrates loads of flare on what is her most engaging and enjoyable record she has ever put out. This is primarily due to the exceptional first half which is full of some stunning songs. The music is also well layered and it has a lot of depth behind it due to Kate Bush's desire to experiment with more instrumentation. This makes for an enthralling listen that remains exciting even on the slower second half. She is not scared to mix up her style either with there being some unique tracks on here, such as Jig Of Life, which are always exciting to come back to as they give the music an additional edge and a bit more character. Her vocal is fantastic as well as she demonstrates both her voices power but also its beauty on here. Overall, this is an elite record that is Kate Bush's most exciting and enjoyable to listen to.
Decent. First 5 tracks are awesome, then it's mostly downhill from there. Can see why it's highly rated but there are few too many duds for me to make it a great album (Dreams of Sheep, Hello Earth, Under Ice).
This album is amazing, it perfectly balances pop and art side of Kate Bush. First side is filled with excellently produced, emotionally sung beutiful pop song, obviously Running Up That Hill which is probably top 20 songs of all time, Hounds Of Love, Cloudbusting and also often overlooked The Big Sky. Side two sounds more like The Dreaming and I really like experiments that she's doing it, I especially liked reversed vocals on Watching You Without Me, irish folk sounding Jig Of Life, monumental Hello Earth and it ends really nice with The Morning Fog.
