These are good; really appreciate the work you're putting into it. I have a feeling though that it would be cooler if you had top 10s for each yearly chart, and kept decade charts to your favorites without constraints. But just my opinion
Similarly, I've also completed top 100s for most of my decade charts, the first time I've used the function since it was rolled out. For variety's sake, to try to capture a more complete picture of my taste, and to add more music to the database, whatever is in my overall will not be found in the decade charts. I found that having these decade charts makes placement on my overall seem a lot more stable, since I guess I feel I'm capturing albums I want to represent elsewhere. Ended up adding around 200 albums to the database, nearly all improvised music. Will tinker with ordering and adding albums I forgot and albums I discover intermittently, but the next big project is filtering out weaker recordings from my overall into the decade charts, filtering in stronger recordings to my overall from the decade charts, and filling any resultant holes in the decade charts. Also gonna try to expand the '50s to 50 entries, and grow the '10s past 50 (there will be several 2018 releases on it once the year ends). No real timeline though. I've kind of grown tired of messing around with these charts for a bit 🤣 . I am kind of open to taking requests for custom charts on subjects where I could make a chart
Thanks for the feedback! I hadn't updated them since I joined the site, and they just looked wrong to me. I'm currently working on the 2010's because 2013 had 28 out the 100 entries. It's a pretty good year, but I felt like I must be leaving out some other years albums because of it. The top 10's I make for these decades will probably be reflected in the subsequent year chart whenever I can get around to it.
Although I know it will probably change in another 6 months.
