ooh ooh unavailability / some bands pull their music down from the webs and/or never put it there in the first place, and others are hard to find anywhere regardless of format. i don't know if i've lost "favorite bands", but i loved Ys, and it was ages before i listened to Joanna Newsom's other releases due to difficulty finding them. i hear King Crimson is another big artist feel get irritated with in this regard.

Yes, Tool too. I 100% respect the decisions from respective bands on that matter, but they're withholding their music on the expense of their fans as well which is not so cool. However I do think that all 3 of the mentioned artists are good enough for me to buy their music in physical format.

If they start releasing bad music.

Like, I'll keep listening to their old music, but I'll stop keeping track of what they're up to.

A reason to stop listening to their old music because of something they did though? It's difficult to say. Like, I'm not going to blare Charles Manson at a party, y'know? But I have no problem listening to his songs every once in a while. Sucks that he knew how to write a good song.

As with Kanye, what he's done recently hasn't put me off his music, but it's definitely put me off him. I still think he has two of the years best albums, + the production credit on Daytona.

I think I've just gotten lucky that usually artists that do despicable things aren't typically artists I enjoy in the first place.

For me personally, an piece of music is not defined by an Artists actions. However with that being said. I can't get into LostProphets partly due to the crimes that Ian Watkins has committed, but at the same time I find someone like GG Allin very fascinating

Does this make me a hypocrite? Ehh. . Maybe.

I guess that we would have to disagree in too many things that are important enough in my opinion.

God bless you and my favorites always!!!
