This is basically just some cool music I've been listening to lately, both the all-time favourites and some enjoyable new/old discoveries (which explains the number of 2020s albums, I guess). An unofficial chart with a loose order, will be updated whenever I feel like it. That being said, I love and would strongly recommend everything listed here.

Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

SaulCortes1992 it's a mystery to me how a person can be so ignorant. I've seen you comment really shit things on other people's charts, so I went and saw your chart and rated it objectively. And objectively, it's predictable, not interesting, repetitive and imho 55 is the rating it deserves. That doesn't mean you have to be that childish idiot who gives bad ratings just because someone has an opinion that's not the same as yours. Pathetic

Trying to justify the choices or tell people why you feel bonded with a particular album is really what this site is all about imo. That's why even "cliches" like 3 Pink Floyd albums on my chart make some sense, I hope. Anyways, a person with 10 Beatles and 8 Radiohead's albums shouldn't talk about cliches. I just feel like you were unrightfully offended by my comment on your chart although I just tried to tell you my opinion about pros and cons of your chosen albums.

- everybody's entitled to have a musical taste of their own so somebody who likes King Crimson should be allowed to make a chart
- personal comments on why somebody chooses an album on his charts do present an added value
- one of the big assets to this site is that not all members are native English speakers

This, friends, is how a chart should be done. Amazing variety, fascinating comments. Well thought out. I don't agree with all the selections, but so what? We are all entitled to our opinions. Great chart!!
