This is basically just some cool music I've been listening to lately, both the all-time favourites and some enjoyable new/old discoveries (which explains the number of 2020s albums, I guess). An unofficial chart with a loose order, will be updated whenever I feel like it. That being said, I love and would strongly recommend everything listed here.

Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

Even though it's a placeholder now, this chart is still full of awesome stuff as well as tons I haven't heard. Will certainly have to check out a few!

Usually lots of rock classics raise a small red flag for me, but only if it's evident that the chart maker is ignorant. You seem to be aware of that, but you embrace it. This chart has an admirable passion shining right through, so I think it's perfectly fine to have such a bias, we all do for certain types of music. Keep on doing what you're doing! Lovely chart!
