Miles better may have been a bit of an exaggeration, though while I enjoy all periods of the Koz's music I dont think hes ever balanced rawness and beauty this well. Medicine Bottle is probably my favorite from him, but parts of that song feel melodramatic whereas Distortion never does. _________________ And it's hard to be a human being. And it's harder as anything else.
'Gustavo' is the best thing Kozelek has ever done, and infinitely superior to this. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.
Like Ponyboy, this was one of my least favorite tracks on the album, although it's not bad. Distortion isn't as good as I remember it being the first time, but I still prefer it. _________________ Join us in the canon game :) / Add me on RYM

Both great songs, although I find both of them keep going for just a bit longer than they need to. Now Only is an excellent album and Distortion gets my vote...and it's not just because he mentions Perth, Western Australia. 😁
