Interesting that you found a lo-fi indie album to be more indulgent than a symphonic prog album. Given I haven't listened to either, but that's not an opinion you hear every day.
Eh... Indie albums can be incredibly self-indulgent... but more along the lines of light bulb jokes. "How many indie rockers does it take to screw in a light bulb... Dude... you don't even know." Indie rock can often be all about being the only true fan or the only one who really gets it or some bullshit to hide the fact the artist has no real musical talent.
Are both stereotypes true... yes... on both sides. And the opposite of course can be true too. Also haven't heard either album I don't think, so dunno in this case.

Still Life by Opeth
Idk... I could see this being really solid, but by the end just lost any energy I felt from it, and like I've said, I just can't take the intellectual side of this seriously. For some reason I keep envisioning Jody from Shameless and the Touched by a Rose scene... Anyway at times incredibly beautiful musically (particularly the acoustic guitar parts)... and I think I might like it a tad more if it were strictly instrumental music. Stellar instrumentation, near crap vocals/"concept album". At times though the prog of it suffocated any real emotional connection. 70-75?

A pretty solid gangsta rap album. Not really anything that crazy stands out to me, but it had a good balance of fun songs and serious songs. D is a decent MC.
Seth, I was stalking this just to be able to tell you to listen to Script of the Bridge.

Surprisingly enough I enjoyed this album a lot. Like I find this quite great entertainment wise. Though I do understand compared to acts like Linkin Park where what they are singing about can be either ridiculous both in a goofy or down to earth way. That abuse solo can be hard pill to swallow. Otherwise grade wise it is a 85.

I love the textures, atmospheres, and use of repetition in this album. It's a very satisfying listen, much more so than its already very good predecessor Systemisch. In fact, it's so transfixing that I immediately listened a second time - something that's rare when I discover an album. Starting at a high 4/5.

Your not wrong Chief. I was shocked that there was still an electronic album still in this list. But apparently this is one of them. And I do find it an excellent blend of styles to create a very engaging concoction. My only criticism would be how the two Disappeared tracks though having qualities I like, also feel somewhat avant garde jazz. And that style of jazz isn't my cup of tea. Otherwise grade wise 90. For the canon list, maybe top 50. For my personal list, might not make it. But I would have to comb out 2000. And I kinda don't want to do that.

Script Of The Bridge by The Chameleons
Ok yeah, I could see why the excitement around this for me as an avid fan of R.E.M. and U2. Of course Mark Burgess is no Bono or Adam Clayton, but the drumming and guitar work is pretty damn good. While this clearly is a strong contender for post-punk awesomeness, it's missing a bit of flair you get from other post-punk bands. Def an 85.
2. Luigii - getting close mate! I have no idea what's good on your list so I'll just go with a familiar name: All Hands On The Bad One-Sleater-Kinney

It's been a bit since I listened to there 2015 album. I should go back to it. But for there 2000 album, I enjoy this a lot. I think I prefer the 2015 album due to if I remembering the album correctly, No Cities To Love felt somewhat more ambitious compared to this. While I will say when I gave this the first listen, the first half of the album felt a little lacking. Except once I hit Was It a Lie. I actually then appreciated the album more. And then I gave the first half another listen. And it got better. Might be low in the custom chart, but grade wise it's a 90.

And with that, this is the final 10. This will be first come first serve. When I finish an album, it will get closer. And when there is only 2 albums left, I will listen to the last two back to back.
I feel so proud for doing this. Also don't know when I'll do this but there will be a redux for Rate Your Music. But that will occur way later.
