Been digging some Oval, Vladislav Delay, Autechre, and Nicolas Jaar but just not feeling it like previous releases.
Most anticipated releases are Andy Stott and Macie Stewart/Lia Kohl.
Best reissues are The Astronomical Unit's Super Earth and the Wandelweiser und so weiter comp.
gonna have to dig thru that list, looks good. Been trying to keep up with some of the Another Timbre output but haven't heard the Ernstalbrecht Stiebler one yet. Really been enjoying these two tho
Not technically a 2020 album, since it was recorded back in the 70s, but Neil Young is releasing Homegrown next week. If you're not familiar with it, the story goes that he was originally planning to release it back when it was recorded but decided it was too personal to do so. Instead he released Tonight's the Night, which is...a very personal album. I've been curious about what this sounds like ever since I heard about it, and while a lot of the songs rumored to be on it have been released in some form I've held off on checking them out in case the real thing was ever released. Suffice it to say I can't wait until next week, in part because of this song which he just released today. It sounds like classic Neil, any fans of On the Beach or Tonight's the Night will definitely dig this:

This one hasn't landed my 2020 just yet, but it's a lovely indie MBP album. Very mellow, melancholic and heartfelt work.
