power metal is definitely one of the most fun and exhilarating metal subgenres. haters probably take themselves a bit too seriously. also it gets lopped in with cheese prog metal a lot which ofc there is a lot of crossover but evry1 be ignoring the og heavy metal stuff when they critique the genre as a whole - almost as if listening to a couple token artists isn't enough to formulate an opinion about an entire diverse genre _________________
