None lol. Spiritual Unity is great and has actually held up for me, but I really prefer the stuff where his brother comes on. I was just reminded when writing this post that my favorite Ayler stuff (Lorrach/Paris 1966, Stockholm/Berlin 1966, and Slug's Saloon) wasn't even released in the '60s, so my bad lol. I like Spirits Rejoice, Bells, Greenwich Village, and then Spiritual Unity the most from actual '60s releases. But, yeah, in his great three-year run up to the shaky Impulse years (though, Love Cry ain't bad at all), it's nearly a guarantee that I prefer anything I hear from 1966, which seems to be completely archival... Hilversum (and Copenhagen) and NYE&EC are fine. But Witches & Devils and Ghosts are weak to me though, in the face of all the other stuff
tbh very much in agreeance regarding the relatively quality of the archival stuff. that said, I firmly reject the notion that NYE&EC is just "fine". imo it's as good as Ayler and co ever got outside of some of those archival shows (even if markedly sillier) _________________ A Variety of Artists
Boom, currently updating my decade charts to make them more representative of my current tastes, is it any good though? Who knows?

As much as I love Benji, Among The Leaves is the one I keep coming back to time and time again, needs more love cause it's a great album. _________________
