Earlier today, Rascal Flatts announced that the tour that they do this year will be their farewell tour after being on the radio for the past 20 years now. Go here for the news clip and their tour dates. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/rascal-flatts-farewell-tour-band-announces-dates-and-cities-for-last-tour/?ftag=CNM-00-10aab7e&linkId=80217801 I was able to see them back in 2003 when they opened for Kenny Chesney during his Neyland Stadium show in Knoxville, TN. They were awesome. My most favorite song from them is “While You Loved Me”. God bless you and the guys and Kenny always!!! Holly P.S. Am I the only person here who realizes that they never once were given a Grammy award? “Bless The Broken Road” was named Best Country Song, but that award never goes to the singer. The guys were able score four nominations in the Best Country Duo/Group Performance category, but currently that may be as far as their Grammy road has taken them. (shrugs)

Say a prayer for country legend B.J. Thomas. Sadly he is currently fighting stage four lung cancer. Go here for the news.

God bless you and him and his family always!!!

My favorite country band and album was finally released on streaming services! They are very small but I highly reccommend checking these guys out! When the Smoke Clears is one of my favorite tracks of all time!

Go here for an interesting piece of news that really isn't about country music, but it does concern Nashville.

God bless you always!!!

Down To The River To Pray
Traditional
Recording by Alison Krauss

This song was first published in 1867. The writer is unknown. Southern spirituals like this one are important in the history and composition of country music. This modern acapella version by Alison Krauss from 2000 was used in the baptism scene in the film O Brother, Where Art Thou.

God bless you and Alison always!!!
