Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 5% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 76.1/100, a mean average of 75.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 76.3/100. The standard deviation for this album is 14.2.

A decent album with an interesting choice of musical styling which is very relaxing and therapeutic to listen to. The diverse range of artists keeps the music fresh as well and the style is maintained as it is passed from one artist to the next which is really impressive. There are some really catchy choruses and great instrumental moments present on here as well. However, it is bloated and too long and could be shortened but I guess that is due to it being a soundtrack. It does get repetitive by the end as well and you find yourself waiting for it to end. It could do with a bit more experimentation as it is a bit bland and dull. Overall, a harmless record that isn't anything special but provides a great vibe if you want to just chill.

Best soundtrack ever.
Possibly better than the movie itself.
