Physical Graffiti by Led Zeppelin

I find it impossible to pick a favourite led zep album. Each brings something different depending on my mood. One of the all time greatest bands ever

this was my fave for many years but think there are just a few weaker (not necessarily bad) tracks towards the end,,, I've always though if they'd released just the songs recorded at Headley Grange without adding other songs they had leftover from earlier recording sessions it would have been near to a perfect album...

Headley Grange sessions produced the below
Custard Pie 5*
In My Time Of Dying 5*
Trampled Underfoot 5*
Kashmir 5*
In The Light 5*
Ten Years Gone 4*
The Wanton Song 4*
Sick Again 4*

Strangers Almanac by Whiskeytown

20:32, do like a bit of Ryan Adams but tend to forget about this - not listened through this album since early 2017 - time flies

And The Shredded Field Mice by Snakegrinder

Bought this a couple of years ago at a record fair in SWLondon. Has gradually become a firm favourite. Always something new to hear each time I play it.

Hadnโ€™t appreciated that. I had always assumed that it was all recorded at the same studio. The headley grange tracks are my favourite on the album so I think that Iโ€™d have to agree with you. Sometimes less is more.

I think that physical graffiti was probably their most experimental album and love it for that.
