I find it impossible to pick a favourite led zep album. Each brings something different depending on my mood. One of the all time greatest bands ever
this was my fave for many years but think there are just a few weaker (not necessarily bad) tracks towards the end,,, I've always though if they'd released just the songs recorded at Headley Grange without adding other songs they had leftover from earlier recording sessions it would have been near to a perfect album...

Hadn’t appreciated that. I had always assumed that it was all recorded at the same studio. The headley grange tracks are my favourite on the album so I think that I’d have to agree with you. Sometimes less is more.
I think that physical graffiti was probably their most experimental album and love it for that.
Such a great album! Someone gave me feedback for having too many Beatles, Stones & Led Zeppelin albums in my top 100; well yeah-they are by far my 3 all-time favourite bands! I remember buying this album brand new at a long since gone store called the "Record Factory." The next day I was the lunchtime DJ at our High School; naturally I opened with Kashmir. Rock on Pedro and Johnny!
