Also interesting to see that all countries have English speaking albums as number #1, except (of course) Brazil and (very obviously indeed) France, who prefer something from their own culture.

Because the French and the Americans are more similar than either of them care to admit. Both countries will only herald something as truly great if they made it themselves.
