This is on just two charts (both mine). Yeah, I added the album, I also think it's great. Not to be confused with yet another B Boys Best Of, it is a tribute album that was recorded in Gasgow, with many of the biggest names in Glasgow's indie pop scene getting involved. It's quirky stuff but really true to the spirit of the Beach Boys and genuinely one of my all time favorite albums (narrowly missed my overall chart). The album even came with an interview with Brian doing a track by track commentary on the covers. He was really excited to have Alex Chilton on the record (because of the Box Tops not Big Star though ๐คฃ ) Anyway, this is super charming and nicely weird tribute album.
From my overall chart (which I just updated) the ones that have 5 or fewer charts (and in 2 cases, 6, but minus my charts there are like 1 or 2 other charts that include em), in order of adoration:
(A crime I tell you. Not just a Deathgrind classic, but probably my second favorite Deathgrind record ever - widely hailed record in that, admittedly quite niche, subgenreโs history)
(Probably the least extreme of these albums. This is a gorgeous and somber singer/songwriter album that sonically works in the slow, drowsy, minimalistic contemporary folk style. If you love Cohen, maybe youโll love this?)
(Probably understandable considering their classic compilation of all recorded works includes this. But man this is some of my favorite emotive hardcore and incredibly influential to the sound and genre in the decades following its 1988 release.)
