In light of the news that Oasis have reformed, at least for what looks like it may be a world tour, was good news to hear over my cornflakes this morning.
a mate was saying today he heard it's Liam + Noel backed up by the High Flying Birds, no other Oasis members confirmed. (apparently)
So...it's pretty much The Black Crowes "reunion".
Ha! exactly -huge fan back in the day but can see it being a string of money making concerts then they'll disappear - like the Stone Roses reunion can's see an album following, and if it did 0 judging by the solo stuff I doubt they have it in them to produce anything anywhere near as good as Happiness Bastards, liked that one a lot

Probably no new studio album from Oasis, like you say. Just a huge payday for Liam and Noel.

Still. Wouldn't mind a ticket.
I read that the ticket sales for the 14 dates of this tour is estimated to reap 400 million pounds. Noel went through a divorce last year that cost him 20 million pounds, so the cynic in me is thinking that the only reason he agreed to a reunion is to recoup his losses.
