SOPHIE - SOPHIE
I'm not much of a writer/reviewer, but this is definitely worth a listen.

13" Frank Beltrame Italian Stiletto With Bison Horn Grips by Xiu Xiu
I didn't know this until now, but apparently you have to buy the 13-inch ones because the more-practical 11-inch blades are always out of stock on tacticalelements.com. So it's a really nice gesture for Xiu Xiu to make this their latest album title, in case any of their fans are also into tactical weaponry and stuff like that, what with the apocalypse just around the corner and all.

IIII by Briqueville
At first I thought, "it's their fourth album, so they're only putting up four fingers, that's why there's no thumb." But at the end of track 2, "AKTE XVII," the guy is actually singing "I I I I," so... did they name the album after the lyric snippet, or is it strictly a sequential thing and they're just making an ironic reference to the fact that every track they've ever released is named "Akte" followed by a number in roman numerals? It's a complete mystery, which is why I've always said that these guys are way too clever for their own good, even though this is the first time I've ever actually said that.
