Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 2% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 78.4/100, a mean average of 78.0/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 78.6/100. The standard deviation for this album is 13.2.

Grande clássico, mudou a música da América Latina!
Last album by the Wailers. Good effort at mainteining all that talent in one album.

Una sequenza di grandi canzoni tra cui ovviamente svettano i due pezzi da novanta "Get up, stand up" e "I shot the sheriff"
Another of the great 'island' albums from Bob Marley and the Wailers. Great tracks in, get up,stand up, pad it on, and off course, I shot the sheriff, one of Marley's greatest songs. All of it is essential really.
Best Track: Get Up, Stand Up

Righteous and seriously in the pocket, this is the last Wailers album with Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer. Bob Marley's soulful cry is rivaled by the sticky organ riffs and fat-bottom beats.
Still a band effort before Marley's putsch.

Marley's 3rd best. This is a titanic album. Seems to have a harder edge lyrically than his other work.
2nd fav Marley for me after 'Exodus'
Most believe that Catch A Fire was the Wailer's big commercial breakthrough and in some ways it was, but this was their first album to chart well outside of Jamaica and had their all- time top 2 biggest hits ("I Shot the Sheriff", "Get Up, Stand Up"). Plus, Marley's "Burnin' and Lootin" and Livingston's "The Oppressed Song" give this album a more serious and surreal tone that Catch A Fire jabbed at but never truly captured.
One thing: This site credits this as an album by "Bob Marley & The Wailers". That title was started when 5 of the 6 original Wailers left the band, 2 years after this album, meaning that this is just an album by The Wailers.
