I liked Dear Science more than Cookie Mountain - but alas, haven't listened to Young Liars or Desperate Youth yet. Both are on my to-listen list, though...
I'm a fan, so I can't help but love everything they do, but on albums the after cookie mountain they got rid of most of their noise guitars, further toned down the doo-wop and barbershop influences, its less exciting and reveals that under the cool arrangements they are writing very simple songs, the early stuff on the other hand is so unpredictable. This is one of the greatest songs ever:
Wow mine too, that is one of those songs that could last 3 hours and I wouldnt get tired, it's just comforting to listen that kindda noise guitar riff in the back.
