Hi everyone,
I wanted to quickly introduce myself.
I've joined the site a few weeks ago and I've been quietly exploring it, but I'd love to make some friends here if that is possible. My music taste is very wide and maybe unusual. I've sung in a choir for many years, then I moved on to shortly study popular music. At some point I decided I didn't want to pursue music as a career anymore, but I never stopped writing, singing, etc. (for myself). I love rock music and all of its sub-genres. I grew up with dad rock, then I discovered pop-rock, punk and the whole emocore sound. These days I listen more to alternative rock, industrial rock, soft rock, shoegaze, etc. I also grew up listening to a lot of pop music (as every gay teenager does lol), but I've been growing more and more out of it, however, I still appreciate a well made pop song. I also listen to jazz, funk and classical music, as well as electronic genres (hyper-pop, techno, etc.). Fun fact: I have an extensive CD collection as well as a small vinyl collection (and an audiotechnica player of course).
Some of my favorite artists include Gaga, Bowie, Radiohead, Beyonce, The Cure, Pink Floyd, YUNGBLUD, Florence + The Machine, Queen, Tame Impala, Madonna, The Neighbourhood, Demi Lovato, Nine Inch Nails, Bruno Mars, Sade, Daft Punk, Halsey, Panic! At The Disco, Gesaffelstein, Billie Eilish, Paramore, etc.
Happy to meet anyone else who likes these artists or just wants to have a chat on any music-related topic.
