So what places have you been on a train before? I am looking for new places to go. So far I have been to Derby, Lancastor, Preston, Bournemouth as well as the Severn Valley Railway when I was little.
Maybe I could go to the beach? All the destinations might be a little faraway though.
What do you find best about train? I like looking out the window.
I don't go on trains very often. I am planning on going on one soon though. I'm taking one up to Cardiff with a bunch of friends to watch 2 rugby matches back to back at the millennium stadium. I love looking out the window while listening to music when I'm on a train.
My longest trip was by train was from Budapest to Köln,Germany (about 1100 kilometres and about 12 hours)
I was recently in Munich and Heidelberg, that was also a long trip.
My train trips in the UK were: London-Cambridge and Cambridge-Stratford-upon-Avon
I travel a lot by train in my home country and Austria. I also took a couple of trips from Budapest via Vienna to Venice.
I like to travel by train but I had some frightening stories when I was younger.
When I was about 20 I was travelling from Vienna to Venice and I was stopped by the police at the Austrian-Italian border because the Italian policemen thought I was a prostitute. I was shocked, I don't look like one. They were asking me questions and then I had to get off the train. They were very rude to me and I was frightened. They refused to talk to me in English or German so it was even more complicated to tell them who I was and that I already have my return ticket to Austria.
It was when my country was already a part of the European Union so I felt completely shit that such discrimination could happen to me.
A nice story was when I travelled from Zagreb to Budapest and I met a young English couple (they were from Manchester). They were very kind and we talked about things, then it turned out they travelled to my city to go to a festival, to go the a Stone Roses concert there.
A couple of days later I accidentally met them at the concert!
My favourite thing is that I can stare out from the window and watch the different landscapes while I can read a book/listen to music. And I also like that when the train stops I can watch the different stations and the people getting on and off the train.
I hope you get get somewhere far away an-outlaw! What about Scotland for example?
I don't know the exact date, but somewhere in 2000 I went to the Isle of Man and I went on a little steam train and after that I went on a big steam train! My parents still have films of these trips. I also used to go to Rosslare Strand, Wexford by train. Whatever the transport, I always choose to look out the window and with trains it's especially invigorating. I also love Thomas. So suffice to say.
I've never been in a train ride
I never saw a train in my life
there are not so much trains in the north side of Brazil (actually I guess that there are no one that I can travel)
The only train notion that I have is on tv and Kraftwerk
It must be cool _________________ Top 100 Hits you must hear before the u... of beauty
