This album is probably a tie with Washing Machine but I Had to select one. My favourite type of Sonic Youth is the more loose songwriting with really brittle guitar as demonstrated in EVOL. Favourite track: Maryln Moore
Details on the implementation and chart selection process of "User Pick of the Day" can be found here and here, respectively. A chart documenting the previous picks can be found here.
Daydream Nation > Sister >> EVOL > Washing Machine > Murray Street > A Thousand Leaves >> Bad Moon Rising > Dirty > Goo > Sonic Nurse > Confusion is Sex >> Rather Ripped > The Eternal
I still jam out to Teenage riot every so often (not on this album btw), but most of Sonic Youth's other material have gotten boring over the period of time I liked them. I'm not sure exactly what it is, but I can say that Sonic Youth is certainly not as interesting or fun as I used to think.
For whatever reason, Sonic Youth have just never done anything for me. I guess I prefer this to Daydream Nation and Sister, but I never really feel like listening to any of them. I get why people like them, I just happen not to.
