Radiohead invented music in 1995. They invented another record in 1997.
All other records were made in this century, by Radiohead or other people.
Radiohead, thank you.

People hate this chart because it doesn't really show much of diversity of albums (that's fine by me; I don't like boring charts myself, but I haven't even seen a chart in a long time that I've wanted to see more of), but I remember a time when plenty of forum regulars had just as boring and non - diverse charts (a few even have some currently), but they were applauded for it. The hypocrisy is just annoying =_=

you got Chumbawamba at #8, m8. diversity does not equal quality; people don't like this chart because of the latter

I see were you're coming from. Just because something isn't diverse doesn't mean the albums aren't good, but, referring to this specific chart, most of these albums are typically considered good, are they not? I just don't quite understand why certain charts get fairly high ratings even though it doesn't really show a large amount of diversity and other charts are either dismissed or hated for that same exact reason. It's just weird.
As far as Chumbawamba goes, I think they're pretty fun! Even so, a majority of their best work can be unfairly ignored because of a certain single (that's not to say people can't hate everything they do, but most can tell a difference between their best stuff and their worst stuff).

Well please give an example Happymeal, because I don't remember a chart as uninteresting as this one getting any sort of acclaim here.

But, seriously this chart feels very ignorant. That it leaves out great albums from the 60s, 70s and 80s. _________________

I was about to bring up some older examples, but I'd hate to bring up charts which are old to back up an assertion made recently (though I've been making this point for a fairly lengthy amount of time). However, I will dig up recent examples if you'd like me to, but the point wasn't really that charts receive acclaim in result of redundancy/being boring/being not diverse, but that they receive an unfair amount of hatred(though I did say that certain charts were applauded in result of having the same/similar qualities so you got me there, but my meaning was more that they were being treated with a higher amount of respect despite having similar qualities though if I directly stated otherwise and contradict myself, feel free to point it out). I'm not saying I disagree with the dismissal or hatred towards these types of charts, but there are other charts forgiven for the same qualities which is a bit odd.
Perhaps the claim of hypocrisy was unfair so I apologize for being wrong on that front. Anyways, if you still want me to bring up some examples, then I will.
