Summary Info: fuck if I know, wonder where Sp4cetiger got this info from? Hm, well wikipedia says they used old analog equipment to record it. Pretty cool. Does this have to be professional sounding? Wikipedia also says that "The album is very atmospheric with ambient and techno influences". Neat.
Details on the implementation and chart selection process of "User Pick of the Day" can be found here and here, respectively. A chart documenting the previous picks can be found here (note: this chart will not be updated while BrandonMiaow is doing this).
It recycles very similar sorts sounds on nearly every track...and it works perfectly. Simple beats, very clean drum tone, but with synths drowning in delay and reverb, and lots of thick icy droning/humming/buzzing. The mood really evokes chilly arctic landscapes, with maybe the occasional futuristic scfi city emerging from the ice. Definitely top level electronic/ambient stuff.

Yeah this album is basically an icy blast of Arctic noise with some seriously brilliant dub techno underpinning it all. It could easily rank as my #1 if it wasn't for worshiping Aphex for over two decades. As good as anything in the genre.

Usually from wikipedia, it's just a description for people who don't know anything about the album. Sometimes I throw bits of trivia in there, but it's really up to you and if you're in a rush, it could certainly be left out. The only rule I follow in that section is to avoid giving opinions about the album's quality and to keep it mostly objective.

This has been on my listen list for ever. And I did get around to listening to a few tracks of it an I was really impressed. I will definitely get on it soon. I recall it had an absolutely beautiful atmosphere an a very unique space. _________________ -Ryan
