Foxygen > Tame Impala > MGMT

That said, I'll give this another listen later. I've been in a bit of a neopsychedelic mood lately.
Plus, I have respect for any band with a song titled "Brian Eno."

While I'm not a fan of Oracular Spectacular, I do enjoy this album. I love the epicness anf structures of the tracks. One of my favorite psychedelic albums of the decade.

Ah, Jason, we have so much in common.

MGMT is far better than those two other bands, and Congratulations is a good album. Their particular brand of psych-pop sounds much more contemporary than the other two's (particularly bloody awful Foxygen's). Course it's derivative, but at least I sense some personality behind MGMT's music. haven't listened to their last though, any good?

This is actually the first I hear of their third album. I've only heard their first two. I'll have to check that out today too. And yes Norman, I think we might be twins.

Wondeful record, and as far as I remember, far better than their mediocre-bar-the-singles debut. I haven't listened to it in more than a year though, and my tastes have evolved a lot since, so maybe it's not that great, but I'm very enthusiastic about it right now.

As far as the three bands mentioned by the other Jason go, I'd say MGMT > Tame Impala = Foxygen, though I'm not at all a fan of these last two.

Is it solipsistic in here or is it just me?

It's a good album. It isn't amazing, certainly not as good as their debut, but good.

MGMT gets slightly worse with each subsequent release.

I had a lot of hope for them after Oracular Spectacular but this album was really mediocre. Didn't bother with their most recent one.
