Shouldn't his stuff with The Revolution not be counted, as per the rules of the tourney?

Sorry, when I went for "Insert BEA link" I accidentally clicked for Prince and the Revolution instead of Prince solo. I realized it afterward but assumed nobody would actually notice.

Crap.

Prince solo is getting my vote from here on out. I hope he wins the whole tournament. He's just so astoundingly brilliant I can't even take it. Even if you take off his albums with "The Revolution" he still is my choice the whole way. "Sign O The Times" and "1999" and "Dirty Mind" are just so perfect.

Without The Revolution Prince goes from an artist I like a lot to an artist I still like a lot. It's pretty close, and I think I'd be leaning more towards Prince if his Revolution albums were counted, but he has some pretty spotty releases and I like Dragging A Dead Deer Up A Hill most between both of the artists including the Revolution. Going Grouper here.

I really love a bunch of albums from each artist, so this is another matchup where it comes down to my personal favorite album, and that's Dragging A Dead Dear Up A Hill. Grouper is one of the few artists who can really ride the line between ambient and folk, and still carry intense emotion through her vocals. Vote to Grouper.

Prince. What I know of Grouper is really good, but Prince and I go way back and he has an awesome discography.

I think I mentioned this in a previous round but, given his almost dictatorial studio presence and perfectionist habit of playing pretty much every instrument himself, Prince is about as close to a genuine 'solo artist' as anyone in this tournament, regardless of how his albums are billed. Also he's just way better than Grouper, who is dope but not as dope as Prince.

I love what I've heard from Grouper, but Prince is a one of a kind super genius funk god freak of nature.
