This is a matchup of two giants in their fields. Cartola was a legend in the development and popularization of Samba. Queen was the quintessential glam-rock band. You don't have Brazilian Music without Cartola's samba, and you don't have 70's music without Queen.

Oh dear...
Probably going to go with Cartola, not voting just yet though. _________________ Doubles & Conch

Queen is annoying while Cartola is brilliant.

Finally I can stop feeling bad for never picking an underdog. Maybe it's my current mood, but I'm really really enjoying Cartola. Exactly why I love these tournaments. Such a wonderful discovery. Plus the similarly self-titled 1976 album that I accidentally listened to first may be even better.
Queen II is very good, but nowhere near the level of their next 2 or 3 albums. _________________ http://jonnyleather.com

Queen's next two albums are Super Awesome and Unbelieveably Awesome, respectively. This one isn't as good, it only rates an Awesome-Minus. Still, way better than most other albums (including the symphony in Samba). Easy choice.

I've had a love-hate relationship with Queen II over the years. For the most part it's pretty dope but "The Loser in the End" really kind of kills the whole album for me sometimes. Still, the run of tracks from "Ogre Battle" through "March of the Black Queen" is stunning. Overall it's probably my 3rd or 4th favorite of theirs.
All this is to say that I haven't heard the other one and won't be voting.

Cartola is OK but Queen is a rising star that ROCKS! _________________ "And can’t you see you’re in on it?

Hell yeah, NV! I LOVE the fact that your in full-on rocker mode tonight. Sackcloth is dope!
Cartola is a great discovery for me, and I bet it sounds even more splendid after I have a few caipirinhas under the belt, which for my money are even better than mojitos. It's perfect cocktail hour/dinner music, and I'm sure it's playing in sp4cetiger's house as we speak. God knows it'd probably be an improvement.
Queen II was a motherfucking bomb that changed the course of hard rock and metal history as we know it. It's influence on metal history is both incalculable and under-appreciated. It still totally ROCKS today.
