I assigned the 28 required byes to the top-28 nominated guitarists on Rolling Stone's Greatest Guitarists list.
As for when we'll actually start this tournament, whenever is fine by me. I'm not sure what tournaments are in the queue. _________________ Progressive Rock

This all looks good, but is there any way not to have two of my nominations go up against each other in the first round? _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.
Both my entries will be facing each other in the second round as well.
I think I'm another one with two of my entries facing each other (no biggie as I don't expect they'll get that far anyway). Should be a good tournie, looking forward to it...

Like, 2 of my noms still go through, but I don't think that's fair. That list is fairly narrow minded.
I understand that some nominations are just obviously great, but I don't think this is the best way to choose which ones.
It's totally fair. They're the ones pretty much everyone knows. Would you rather see a lesser known guitarist have to be pitted against Hendrix in round 1. I'd rather see the lesser knows battle it out in round one and gain momentum/fans before dealing with the giants.. _________________ http://jonnyleather.com

I get that, but there are still giants in the first round that weren't pushed forward. Hell, Django Reinhardt, Kevin Shields, Wes Montgomery, Ali Farka Toure, Lee Ranaldo and John Fahey are still there. Yeah, I get there isn't room for everyone, but it's kinda just the rock giants that moved through... I dunno ๐ค If it's just me, then it doesn't matter, but I'm not finding it the best idea. Still looking forward to this though. _________________ Doubles & Conch
