According to the news, today actor and comedian Robin Williams died today from asphyxiation at the age of 63. Pay your respects here, and put your favorite clips of him if you want.
One of my absolute favorites. This guy was amazing. As a comedian and serious actor, he was one of my heroes. I lived and breathed everything he did in Aladdin. I'm sad he's gone. A master if comedy, improvisation (take a look at his stuff with Comic Relief for that), and the craft. _________________ Progressive Rock
1 year and 1 day ago, a kid at my school known as one of the funniest kids at the school took his own life. One of his favorite movies was Aladdin. Hard to believe that a year and a day later, this is happening.
Toys was the first live action movie I ever saw, and Hook was one of my favorite movies growing up. Good Will Hunting, Mrs. Doubtfire, Night at the Museum, Robots, Patch Adams, Ferngully ... he made a lot of my childhood.
As his wife said, let's remember him for the joy he brought. For me at least, this is one of his roles that just feels the most ... it feels so damn genuine, it's just Robin Williams.
2002 Robin Williams might be my favorite calendar year for any actor ever. Death to Smoochy/One Hour Photo/Insomnia. I seriously bring this up all the time when talking with friends about breaking typecasts.
This is pretty horrible, and reminds me of David Carradine too.

Well Carradine was jerking off. It looks like Williams committed suicide, apparently he's been dealing with some depression. _________________ Progressive Rock
It's probably not one of his better performances, but Jumanji (alongside Space Jam) is the movie that defines my childhood. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.
The Pagliacci joke from Watchmen actually made me choke up a little when I read it again today:
“Heard joke once: Man goes to doctor. Says he's depressed. Says life seems harsh and cruel. Says he feels all alone in a threatening world where what lies ahead is vague and uncertain. Doctor says, "Treatment is simple. Great clown Pagliacci is in town tonight. Go and see him. That should pick you up." Man bursts into tears. Says, "But doctor...I am Pagliacci.”” _________________
