The Popul Vuh is the ancient history of the Pre-Columbian kingdom of the K'iche' Mayans. It's a story that goes all the way back to the creation of the world by the Quetzal Serpant Q'ukumatz, and tells the genealogy of the mayan kings of K'iche'. Personally, I think this is much more interesting than anything I could say about the band.

I'm with Skinny. I've recently fallen in love with Veedon Fleece. It's Astral Weeks part 2.

I love Einsjager, but Popol Vuh has made 3 or 4 better albums. Havent heard Veedon Fleece, and the door is open for it to win me over, but Van Morrison's music has never really touched me the way it has for others. Will listen to it tonight i think.
This is a tough one for me because I love Popol Vuh although Einsjäger & Siebenjäger is not one of their strongest efforts.
