Tom Verlaine is obvs gonna win this one, but I prefer Mr. Cooder by a long shot. While I haven't heard everything in his discography, I do know I've heard enough to be impressed by the amount of styles he's been able to do well on if not master. He's done albums that incorporate anything from blues to
Hindustani Classical Music to African music which is a feat that not every guitarist has done and I think for that it'd be unfortunate if he lost this round.
