|
I recently added an album to BEA (http://www.besteveralbums.com/thechart.php?a=77484) that was released digitally without any official album artwork (it's still an official release i.e. not a bootleg or anything). How should I handle album artwork (or lack thereof) with releases such as this?
I know RYM puts little notice of "This digital release was distributed without artwork" where the artwork would normally be...

I've just flagged this album as having no artwork, so the system won't nag for this once the other details are added.

The moderation for this album is done, and it looks like it's not being publically flagged for missing artwork.
There is also no specific release date (month and day), and I have marked it for that as well.

actually, if it's not too much trouble, a great deal of the albums I just put on this chart http://www.besteveralbums.com/thechart.php?c=23968 don't seem to have specific release dates (I couldn't find anything on RYM of Discogs anyway). Any chance you could mark those as complete?

What happens is that the albums that are pending full release dates (released in 2004 or later) filter into a list called Invalid Release Date. The number of albums currently pending is 11,640 right now, but the list contains only 63 albums. As they are worked, more albums filter in. This work in progress takes time, but we'll eventually get them all!
When the albums do come up on the list, they will be checked, and if there isn't a full release date available, they will be marked as such, and the flag will go away.
Be patient! 😄

It's okay. Actually, when you go into Admin Album, do you see (beneath the tracklist) a section called Advanced Fields?
