Iommi, for me. Again, at this stage, this is just a personal preference. I appreciate what Fahey does more than I love it, whereas I adore Iommi's work throughout those first four Sabbath albums (and intermittently afterwards). I wouldn't begrudge Fahey victory though. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.
Completely this. All due respect to Fahey, an excellent musician for sure, but 75% of the time I just don't enjoy his music. I wish I could reproduce the 25% more often, but most of the time he's just too dry for my taste.

Iommi for me. I just adore his thick sound rhythmically and his simple and beautiful solos. Fahey is great, but kinda like with the Django vs Gilmour, it comes down to which has affected me more. I prefer Sabbath's sway over my soul. _________________ -Ryan
