With the rise and popularisation of DJ mixes as of recent, I'm wondering what role they play on BEA. If there's a DJ mix under 20 minutes, can it still be added to the database? It's technically a full-length release, though it's only one "song" long and under 20 minutes. _________________
How's it technically a full length release? It's not an album.
I think the point he's trying to make is DJ mixes are not EPs. The database already has a bunch of DJ Kicks, Fabric mixes, Back To Mine, (I think I added a Solid Steel mix awhile back...), that one A.G. Cook mix, etc.
Do releases that are not EPs still follow the length restrictions that affect EPs?
All releases on BEA need to be at least 20 minutes long or contain at least 5 tracks. This applies to any type of release. So, if the 'one song' mix is 20 minutes long, it would be ok so long as it is an official release and not some kind of bootleg.
