This is the rugby thread, you can post about rugby here. Anyone? Some of you Frenchies or Aussies must be interested?
Anyway so today is the Heineken cup final obviously. I'm predicitng a Leinster win by around 8 points, I don't think Ulster will look like winning at any point.
Yesterday's Challenge final was terrible apart from the last 10 or so minutes, Toulon should've gone for the DG earlier than they did before they fucked it up. Johnny would've made it.
If anyone's interested at all we'll use this thread for the summer tests, which I can't wait for. _________________ Shut up mate you're boring!

Leinster have proved that they're the best in Europe by quite a margin, I'm still having nightmares from Bath's last trip to Leinster.
Maybe even they're the best in the world right now, I reckon I'd back them against most SXV sides. Not sure if they could take the Crusaders from 4-5 years ago but it'd be close.
I'd pay a lot to see Leinster take on this years SXV winners.
How do you see Ireland's summer tour to NZ going though? Personally I can't see anything but a NZ whitewash. _________________ Shut up mate you're boring!

To be honest I'd be happy to keep the games to single digit defeats.Only three new caps named in the squad which is a shame.

Aviva final was amazing, Quins were superb, special mention to Marler, Care, Lowe and Brown.
England v Barbarians was ok, no structure at all from England but seemed capable of taking their chances when available. Midfield was crap though, Hodgson, Farrell, Barritt were all shite.
Not looking forward to the SA tour. _________________ Shut up mate you're boring!

Oh ok you can comment too
Didn't think you were that interested in the rugby though? Well now you're here I want your predictions for the Ireland, Wales and England tours this June. I'm thinking the only chance for a NH win will be Wales in Australia. _________________ Shut up mate you're boring!

I would say that is a fair assessment.... although Wales will have to go some to beat the Aussies in Australia (although i can promise you that there will be lots of Welsh support from this side of the Tasman ).
The Boks are also pretty strong and I would never bet against them, so I reckon England will struggle (and England seems to be going through a bit of a transition too which probably won't help)
The ABs have a couple of injuries at the moment but such a strong squad that I doubt this will affect their performance. Plus they reckon Dan Carter will be back for the Ireland tour as well. I am hoping to get to one of the matches while they are here (although it will be more difficult as they aren't playing in Wellington)
So yeah.... it might be a miserable tour season for NH!

Yeah most likely!
Ah well, I'm pretty confident England will compete well with SA but I don't think they'll have enough to actually win one, I'd love to be wrong though.
England's transition phase is actually quite exciting, but for the last ten minutes against Wales in the 6N we'd be grand slam champions right now, which ain't bad considering our terrible world cup (did you get to see any BTW?). Our pack is looking decent especially front row and back row, we have millions of very good 9s to pick from and our back three can be great whoever we pick. Only problem is 10/12/13, we're not terrible but miles away from the best teams.
Also look out for George Ford in the next few years he's the next great international fly half, you heard it here first. _________________ Shut up mate you're boring!

Don't get me wrong... I hope that England do well... but everytime I think the Boks are going to get thumped they usually end up winning! So I have stopped underestimating them (and as I said I would never bet against them).
Got to quite a few matches during the World Cup. I got to see the Aussies, Boks, England, ABs and Ireland (as well as some of the smaller teams). The atmosphere here was pretty incredible! One of my friends who came over from the UK reckoned that she had got off the plane into a rugby theme park. You'd have loved it! The highlight for me was 'snuggles' with Sonny Bill Williams I happened to be outside their hotel when the ABs came out... it was pretty cool
