2002. Sorry, Keith.
It looks like you both used the same desperation tactic of placing every vote getter on this week's team. And while both are solid I just love the 02 singles slightly more and the albums more as well.
Edit: I have not yet voted. And I see I have not heard one of your singles, '96. Let me check out that Tortoise/Stereolab track. _________________ -Ryan

Ouch. Three albums I absolutely adore on that 2002 team, but two that I don't particularly care for at all (plus, didn't you already use 'Cause=Time'? Bit cheap to recycle by using the album too, even if I don't like it...), whereas 1996 contains only two albums I absolutely adore, but nothing that is below very, very good either. Massive props for using Dead Man, which is one of the best things Young ever did, and for using 'On & On', which is obviously the best single on either team (I do fucking love 'Someday' though, and have taken to playing it at every party I go to). Gonna go with 1996 here, mostly because I just think it's a more consistent team, but also partly because I think it's unfair to try and gain votes by essentially using You Forgot It In People twice.
EDIT: I am an idiot. _________________ 2021 in full effect. Come drop me some recs. Y'all know what I like.

'96 on account of better singles. Sorry Mike, you were the best on that match-up.

Both awesome teams filled with classics... not a single album I dislike. Going 2002, though 96 would get my vote against most other teams.

Since accusations of album/single reuse are likely to influence voting, please provide links as proof before doing so.
From what I can tell, 2002 did not use "Cause=Time" in a previous match.
