I was trying to put Arkona's 2005 album onto my overall chart when I realized that I couldn't add it due to the foreign characters in the artist's name. I changed the artist name to Arkona, but even that, Arkona, doesn't show up. How long does it take to be put in?

Yeah, it's weird how the search is being pretty difficult about it. But Arkona is in it's American translation in the database (I used to have Аркона but I asked Romanelli to merge the two).

How long should it take for Arkona to be in the search box (modifiable database, if you will)

I'd love to add the rest of their discography!

Tbh, it should be instantaneous for new albums/artists and modifications should appear straight away as well. It also looks like there's an issue with searching & handling non-Latin character sets and I'll investigate this & try and fix.

Why do you think even "Arkona" isn't coming in the search functions at all since we changed it from the Russian characters to their English counterparts?

Looks like a bug with the indexing. Not a permanent solution, but I'm manually running a process to re-populate the search index to allow this artist to appear. I've also renamed the artist so that the transliterated name is shown in square brackets as the original name is in a non-Latin character set. I've done the same with other artists in the past and seems quite a good solution to allow people to search via either version of the name. (I'll look at adding an extra field to hold the transliterated value in a future site update).

Sounds like an ideal, especially considering the East Asian releases I've added in the past.
