I used to love real-ale when I lived in England. My favourite used to be Fullers London Pride ... perfection in a glass.

Now, I live in Spain and they don't do ale here. I guess because the hops and barley etc don't grow very well (you can only buy canned foreign ales). I only tend to drink beer during the summer as it's nice on a hot day to cool down with.

My favourite Spanish beer is Alhambra Especial but this is a beer rather than an ale and isn't as good as I'm used to (but still OK). I now drink much more wine these days, which is cheap and very tasty.

Here in Swden we have a beer called Swedish Elk Brew, it's 7.5 % alcohol and only costs 10 Swedish Kronor (about 1 euro) It tastes ok and it makes you very drunk.

Experimental beer :

Link

"In 1957, Peter Kubelka was hired to make a short commercial for Scwechater beer. The beer company undoubtedly thought they were commissioning a film that would help them sell their beers; Kubelka had other ideas. He shot his film with a camera that did not even have a viewer, simply pointing it in the general direction of the action. He then took many months to edit his footage, while the company fumed and demanded a finished product. Finally he submitted a film, 90 seconds long, that featured extremely rapid cutting (cutting at the limits of most viewers' perception) between images washed out almost to the point of abstraction — in black-and-white positive and negative and with red tint — of dimly visible people drinking beer and of the froth of beer seen in a fully abstract pattern."

I've pretty much narrowed down to Great Divide's Hercules double IPA as my favorite right now. But my everyday beer has got to be Miller High Life, the champagne of beers: the mayor of Bed-Stuy drinks it ;)

I had my first Guinness a few months back and now it's all I drink on the occasions when I do. Surely the best tasting beer in the world? Tasty as f***

I used to like Stella Artois and before that, Fosters. My favourite tipple of all though is probably Jack Daniels and I don't really like any other whiskey

I've been buying Leinenkugel's 1888 Bock for the last month. Lots of flavor. Recommended.

I love dark beer. Guiness is okay but not as good as some heavier stouts. Dark Belgian malts are yummy too. However, the bestest beer in the world is brewed right here in Canada. It is St. Ambroise Oatmeal Stout brewed by McAusland. After drinking St. Ambroise Oatmeal Stout you will think that all other beers in the world taste watered down. It is not for faint-hearted beer drinkers!

And no I don't work for the company Smile
