I mean, I'll listen to it, but as far as I'm concerned (The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place notwithstanding), Explosions in the Sky are the face of "formulaic post-rock". Virtually every album of theirs follows a pretty predictable formula and sounds virtually the same. I don't hate the stuff, but in my opinion, there's better post-rock out there. _________________ Progressive Rock

Take Care, Take Care, Take Care (2011) : Repetitive and a bit overproduced.
Unfortunately, the new single sounds more like Take Care, Take Care than The Earth Is Not a Cold Dead Place ...

Those Who Tell The Truth... and The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place are both excellent. I liked the follow-ups, but wouldn't have cared if it weren't for albums 2 and 3. Their re-released debut is okay, as is The Rescue. _________________ http://distranscontinuum.blogspot.co.uk/
