Recently revisited this one and found I like it much more than I remember. I remember just as this album was coming out, Tiny Mix Tapes had hyped it up a bunch, and I checked out all of his preceding EPs. CMYK has stuck with me since consistently, and I still think it's my favorite from him and one of the minor essentials of the decade, but this one is very good, too.

I firmly believe that this will be a huge classic in the next ten years or so. Still sounds great, and there's almost nothing like it.

Track picks
2. The Wilhelm Scream
5. Lindisfarne II
6. Limit to Your Love
11. Measurements

Overrated and irksome. To me he sounds pretentious and unoriginal. FWIW.

Or, if Adele was a hipster 20-something boy who dug on dubstep (the original UK version, not the American crap).

for the record, this was essentially my opinion until like a day or two ago when I relistened to this and became an insufferable rockist 😜

The best thing he's done is still 'Air & Lack Thereof', but this is pretty dope.

Yeah, the hype for this was a bit much. Definitely hurt my early experience with the record, but after giving it a fair listen I realized that this indeed lived up to the hype.

I dunno. I tried listening to this again last night, and I believe it's worse than I remembered. The only moment on the album I enjoyed was the sub on Limit To Your Love.

the songwriting falls flat for me, and the production is really bland - not the juggernaut it's made out to be.

This album is so bad ew Overgrown is light years ahead of this, Wilhelm Scream and Limit to Your Love are good but the rest is unlistenable
