Hello everyone. New member, if that isn't obvious enough. Anyway, I'm from Malaysia (probably not much of us here?), and I found this site by Google. I'm looking forward to my time here, to expand my musical taste 😁

I generally listen to most genres, but I love classical and film scores. Unfortunately, I noticed a lot of film score albums aren't available here D: I also have an inclination to indie, alternative and art rock.

I don't usually listen to rap, but I am currently listening to To Pimp a Butterfly now because of this site, and it's pretty dope. 😁

Oh, my tiny little chart. Is it bad that I don't know what to fill it with? 😨

Fill it with your favorite albums! The 100 albums you'd take to a desert island/that you like the most/that make you feel alive/that cheer you up when nothing else can/etc. However you define favorite.

I'm excited to see the result 😄

100 albums I'd take to a desert island? Hmm.. that's an interesting idea. I shall try to build my chart again with that thought, then. 😁

I love Chopin (Waltz in C# Minor, Nocturne, Op. 9 No. 2). Debussy's Clair de Lune and Tchaikowsky's Swan Lake, Op. 21 are also amongst my favourites.

As for film composers, Joe Hisaishi is hands down my favourite. Which is really convenient, because where I live, no school orchestra concert can get away without performing a song or two of his. He's a legend to us 🤣 My favourite work of his is probably his most recent one, The Tale of Princess Kaguya. It's an absolute beauty.

Clint Mansell (Together We Will Live Forever, Lux Aeterna) and Alexandre Desplat (Kristofferson, The Rehearsal) are also pretty amazing composers.

Aaaand if we're going the classic, John Williams and Hans Zimmer for their countless iconic scores.

Oh, and lest I forget, JunkieXL and his score for Mad Max: Fury Road last year. It is freaking awesome. 🙏

If it isn't obvious enough, I'm much more well-versed in film scores than classical music 😨

I love Joe Hisiashi's work 😄 He really did nail the scoring for Tale of Princess Kaguya. Also quite like bits of Mansell (his video game scores bring back many memories...)

Oh and Clair de Lune is lovely of course 🥰

Excited to see how your chart will unfold. Have a feeling it's gonna be a pretty unique one
