I lived in Los Angeles when this album came out and absolutely love the lyric "the toxicity of our city". Los Angeles is a fairly toxic place. I love how the album cover almost blends those hills into something that looks toxic... I never looked at the hills of Los Angeles the same.
I used to hate this type of music before this album came out as well.
I love the middle eastern/Armenian influence creeping into it.
Not the best album, but definitely a game changer for me to appreciate a genre probably because they expanded the genre into something a bit more "artistic" in my opinion (in other words they did a unique thing with it to expand and connect with humanity).
By the way I have no idea what the real genre is... I'd just lump it into metal and 90% of you would kill me for that, but I don't regard sub-genre's into much esteem.

Toxicity is hands down one of the best albums of the decade.

Hehehe.
Hey man, I love the place, for a lot of reasons, and totally don't miss living there for a lot of reasons too . I just couldn't believe that I would waste 2 to 4 hours of my day sitting in a car. Traffic is a bitch.
