A rare case of a band I am not really a huge fan of being responsible for one of my favourite albums. Smoke On the Water and Highway Star are hard rock classics of course, but the rest of the album is hardly a letdown from those incredible high points. Crank it to 11!

One of my favorite albums of all time. I'd say it's one of the strongest albums of the 70s. The instrumentation on here is so interesting. One minute they sound like a proto-metal band, the next they sound kind of like fusion, the next a blues band, and some jam stuff thrown in as well, but none of it feels contrived. They were all just great musicians and this is their best album by a mile.

Great classic album! Not as heavy as their live album "Made In Japan"

I really dislike half this album, but "Highway Star" is one of my favorite songs of all time.

Not much that hasn't already been said. This is the magnum opus by the best version of one of the greatest bands in rock history. 3 all time classics and the rest ain't bad either.
