I was listening to this album once on the train and I thought the train was going to derail and plummet into the ocean because I was listening to Fairies Wear Boots. That was scary.
But yeah, this is fantastic. _________________

No sophomore slump here! Sabbath's encore to their earth-shattering debut was every bit as wicked. Classics all over this one and the deep cuts are almost as good.

Bought this on vinyl from my brothers mate for 50p circa 1985. With the spiral label! Looking back now I suspect it was pinched from his parent's collection, but at the time such notions never entered my head.
Got home and recorded it onto a C90, it was then glued to my Walkman for the next month or so. Just about every track became my favourite at one stage or another. Now War Pigs and Hand Of Doom remain my faves.
Sabbath were never deeper and darker than this.

What is there to say about Paranoid that hasn't already been said? Um, "hell yeah, what a great album?"

Terrific early heavy metal album. Plum full of classics. I still can't decide if I prefer this or their debut. Both are superb. It just rocks.
