Poll: What about Wal-Mart?

I do most of my shopping there:

Only reason I go to Walmart is for protein powder...produce sucks and prices are not as low as they were a few years ago.

Plus, nobody spoke English there at my last residence so it left a bad taste in my mouth.

The profits made at Wal-Mart DO NOT stay local and help the local economy.

When you buy your fruits and vegetables from a fruitsfrom a stand down the street for example.

That 9/10 times does help the local economy.

Mooseboy, I remember life without Wal-Marts when I was a boy. When smaller towns had town squares with little local shops and when at Christmas time all of the stores had displays and lights.

A time when Mom and Pop could start a store relatively easy compared to today.

A time when on the corner of the block you had Joe's butcher shop and you bought your meat there and it was fresh and without MSG's like Wal-Marts.

A time when most everything said

MADE IN THE U.S.A.

On it.

But then came Wal-Mart. And it changed all of this, and not fore the better.

Just a store mooseboy.
