So the top 5 of 2011, will it stick as it is? I haven't heard anything hyped up and I don't know many big artists on here who are releasing albums in the later half of the year. Maybe Coldplay but they have released one of their most poorly received singles and may suffer as a result. There is also Bjork, she has had one coming for a while now. Haven't heard anything concrete though.
Anyway, from a objective point (Your favorite album of 2011 might not have a chance of getting top of 2011 on here) which albums yet to come this year will get on many charts? Could any break the top 5? Are the Fleet Foxes set for number 1 or could we still see another potential run away?

I guess you thought of this from the Watch The Throne thread? ๐
I'm yet to hear Watch The Throne (will do in about 20 minutes though), so, no opinions there.
But, i really don't think many albums are even set for the next 4 months ๐ And all the big guns are gone (Radiohead, Strokes, Bon Iver, Arctic Monkeys. Danger Mouse). The only one left is Coldplay, and as I have said, not sure how that will turn out.... ๐
The Bjork album might drop this year, but I'm slightly doubting it.
As for Fleet Foxes being #1 for the year, I see it as a wise choice. My top 5 for the year go as such:
1) Destroyer - Kaputt
2) Fleet Foxes - Helplessness Blues
3) PJ Harvey - Let England Shake
4) Danger Mouse - Rome
5) tune-yards - w ho k i l l
Mind you, still haven't heard James Blake, Yuck, Antlers or Panda Bear yet. _________________ Doubles & Conch
James Blake, PJ Harvey and Nicolas Jaar have impressed me the most although Fleet Foxes probably won't slip down for a good while yet.
Beirut and Laura Marling both have new albums out soon and I would expect both of them to outclass most of what has already been released so far this year
Will never make it up there but Australian band Snowman's last ever album Absence is great and currently in my top 100. Actually feel like listening to it again!
