*Overly "Bright" Music (this is the problem I have with the Flaming Lips; they're astounding, but a bit too bright for me to put into my top 100)

The only genre I can think I've ever really "hated" is metal. I wouldn't say I hate it, I've just never been able to get into it and I've tried numerous times. Outside of that, country. Mostly because of this
Hard to say, I don't think there's any genre I can blanket say that I don't like any of the music that comes from there because there are always exceptions. Though if I had to pick one I'm probably least likely to listen to it's pop-punk.
EDIT: also just a few points:
*Overly "Bright" Music - Not a genre
and I don't think Animal Collective are indie folk like at all. Experimental indie maybe.
*Indie Folk (a lot of great stuff here like Animal Collective, but the pretentious crap like the Fleet Foxes ruins everything else)

2) INDIE FOLK IS AMAZING

Mind you, I agree with the 'Christian Rock' thing. Can't stand it 🫢 It's the same damn song about nothingness over-and-over-again 🧱
And I'm also not a fan of Trip-Hop 😄 Like, it's ok sometimes, but it just makes me feel....iunno...'bad'? :?
Sorry for the misunderstanding, Hayden. I adore four of those five Youtube bands you posted (with NMH being #4 on my chart, and Grizzly Bear at #85). Though that's not what I mean by "indie folk". I'm talking about those soft, Starbucks-drunk bands from 2007 onwards that all sound the same. It's like those CG movies about penguins; having just Happy Feet (or Fleet Foxes) would be alright, but everyone and their dog wants to be like them.
