NOTE: For now I am just providing recovered links to a very thorough review/analysis of Citizen Kane that I wrote back in 2013. What I am posting is an incomplete version from a site called listology.com that has since crashed. Furthermore, the last 45% (approximately) of my complete review/analysis was lost when my laptop crashed, though I do still have notes/rough draft portions of this. I will eventually rebuild this, but for now I am going to leave the incomplete version here. Again, this is NOT my final copy but should still prove useful to anyone that has wanted in-depth insight into what is so extraordinary about Citizen Kane, far past base insights such as "it was influential for its time, that's why!" and for those that want a detailed view of its completely unique application of the cinematic language and why this is significant creatively, emotionally and conceptually in relation to the film itself.
